What You Will Do
Direct all activities related to our centralized procurement, and materials management optimization, and supplier diversity program.
Establish department objectives that align with the strategic direction of the company's procurement, materials management and supplier diversity program.
Develop policy recommendations and implement procedures consistent with established strategies in these areas of operation.
Manage the implementation and execution of the supplier diversity strategy for the enterprise
Direct company purchase agents, engaged in material supply, inventory management activities.
Determine global company material supply and demand requirements; develop, implement and monitor performance goals and objectives, and optimize sourcing and materials practices to reduce costs and improve services.
Lead the implementation of technology solutions to streamline purchasing and warehouse operations.
Evaluate and interpret information and documents related to national and global markets including :
- Raw materials pricing and availability
- Energy markets effects on production and delivery of products
- Proven industry performance-enhancing strategies
- Best practices affecting product selection
- Emerging technologies and manufacturers
Research, compile, and prepare performance metric reports for the following areas at a minimum :
Direct fair and diverse, conflict-free vendor sourcing, bidding, negotiating, and awarding processes in working with suppliers and manufactures on procurement and supply of materials and equipment.
Provide oversight to management and employees regarding purchasing and materials procedures and procurement of goods and services.
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
What You Will Need
Preferred bachelor's degree business administration or related field or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job-related knowledge or experience :
Experience with and thorough knowledge of the management of purchasing, and materials management.
Experience monitoring, assessing, and prioritizing material supply operations.
Experience developing and implementing purchasing procedures along with strategies and oversight of performance indicators.
Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
Experience in use and application of ERP Purchasing and Inventory Management modules.
Experience with application of math, algebraic formulas, and statistics applicable to position.
Experience, training, and a leadership role in the following areas :
Experience reading and interpreting operational results in comparison to industry best practices and change management operations related to material supply activities.
Experience researching and preparing reports, agreements, and correspondence.
Experience interacting, advising, negotiating, and communicating.
Supervise, direct, and train employees, working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures.
Develop information, conduct meetings, and make presentations to groups and individuals.
Read and write fluently in English.
Minimum Applicable driver's license.
Mobility to move in office surroundings and around job sites out-of-doors.
Operate tools and equipment required.
Communicate and exchange information; conduct oral presentations.
Visual abilities to perform job responsibilities.
