Must have previous experience working as a Nurse with supervisory experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and an American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification.

Snapshot of Daily Duties
- Maintain medical equipment, identifies, and resolves clinical problems as applicable.
- Perform routine patient check-in procedures, including workups and new patient history.
- Schedule patient appointments as needed.
- Hire, train, evaluate, and develop assigned staff.
- Guide staff performance by providing regular feedback, consultation with performance reviews, and one-on-one meetings.
- Triage patient phone calls and handle other patient calls as appropriate.
- Explain procedures and prep instructions to patients.
- Escort patients throughout the office as needed.
- Prepare examination rooms to include cleaning and restocking of supplies.
- Administer intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intravenous (LPN only) medications upon direction of a physician.
- Perform phlebotomy for lab work and complete required forms.
- Approve prescriptions and communicate with pharmacies at direction of physicians.
- Obtain authorizations for medication as necessary.
The Must Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Medical Assistant or LPN licenses/certifications - required.
- Three (3) years proven supervisory / managerial experience required OR equivalent clinical work required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- GI experience preferred.
- Knowledge of personnel management, patient record confidentiality requirements, State and Federal legal requirements for a physician practice (OSHA, HIPAA, etc.).
- Basic understanding of physician/staff relationship required.
