Snapshot of Daily Duties:
- Perform routine patient check-in procedures, including patient work-ups and new patient history.
- Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous medications as directed by a physician.
- Perform phlebotomy for lab work and complete required forms.
- Approve prescriptions and communicate with pharmacies at the direction of physicians.
- Assist in maintaining general medical records.
- Schedule patient appointments and other procedures in the computer as needed.
- Schedule outpatient x-rays and tests as needed.
- Assist the Practice Manager in supporting the Clinic in day-to-day activities.
- Train team members, set strategies for the team, and monitor progress towards goals.
- Be comfortable in decision-making, coaching, mentoring, and managing conflict.
The Must-Haves:
- Medical Assistant certification.
- At least 5 years of Clinical Medical Assistant experience.
- Previous experience in an M.D. office or clinical work.
- Maintain current licensure and BLS certification.
- Membership in the State and National SGNA recommended.
- Maturity, empathy, and patience.
- Be special – Not everyone can do what we do.
