Skyline Gastroenterology is seeking an RN Extender to join our team and assist in patient care. We are looking for someone dedicated to providing quality care and understanding patient needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care under the supervision of sponsoring physicians.
- Make rounds with or under the supervision of the sponsoring physician.
- Record patient progress in the medical record which will be authenticated by the sponsoring physicians.
- Initiate consults by recording health history to be authenticated by the physicians.
- Dictate discharge summary which will be authenticated by the physicians.
- Write or communicate verbal orders issued by the physicians which will be authenticated by the physicians.
- Provide health counseling, guidance, and instructions to patients regarding treatment plans, procedures, diet, medications, disease education, and follow-up care as prescribed by the physicians.
- Assist physicians with treatments, procedures, and/or examinations.
- Assist with patients in the clinic when not assigned to the hospital, including:
- Triage of patient phone calls
- Patient assessment and check-in
- Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous medications as directed by physician.
Education and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Registered nurse. Membership in local, state, and national societies is encouraged.
- Maintains current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Certification and ACLS.
- Solid nursing background, concentration, or willingness to obtain advanced knowledge in GI specialty.
- Work cooperatively with physicians and other staff members.
- Demonstrate initiative, insight, and judgment in making decisions.
