Internal Medicine/Primary Care Practice in Reston with excellent reputation is seeking a dedicated & enthusiastic Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join the team to make a difference in people's life.
Clinical Duties:
- Preparing patients for examination
- Performing basic laboratory tests
- Performing electrocardiograms
- Calling patients to inform results or recall as directed by physician
- Instructing patients about medication and diets as directed by physician
- Preparing and administering injection as directed by physician
- Authorizing prescription refills as directed by physician
Administrative Duties:
- Answering telephones
- Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics including personal and financial information
- Updating patient medical records
- Scheduling appointments
- Managing labs and documents in Electronic Medical Records
- Arranging for laboratory services and hospital communications
- Taking payments
- Keeps medical office supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs, placing orders, and monitoring office equipment
- Protect patient confidentiality by making sure protected health information is secured
- Help market and promote practice
Requirements
- Fluent in English
- Fluent in Spanish
- Great interpersonal skill
- Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record & technology
- Fast learner & courageous
- Strong work ethic
