Under the Director of Programs or Assistant Director, the Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the delivery of clinical services in assigned programs in accordance with program guidelines. This position will supervise staff working in residential settings, Hope Houses (home like setting), Transitional Living and Shelter.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides supervision to staff offering therapeutic services in the community, home setting, and home like setting (residential)
- Specific Ratio for position:
- The Centralia Supervisor ratio will be 1:6 (3 residential clinicians and 3 Hope House clinicians)
- Ratios may change based on program needs for supervision, increase and or decrease
- Supervisor will provide supervision to professional and para-professional staff on therapeutic approaches with clients
- Reviews intake information of clients referred for services and distributes assignments equally amongst team
- Facilitates movement of cases in SDS from referral to open case records
- Ensures and maintains the appropriate staff-to-client ratios as outlined by the funding source, if applicable, appropriate to skill, client need, and quality services.
- Ensures adequate client contact is maintained in accordance with specific program guidelines and client needs. The minimum required contact hours should be weekly and or outlined for each position.
- Supervisor will oversee multiple shifts for staff working in multiple settings (Hope Houses, Community, Residential)
- Ensures staff at all levels are closely monitoring child and client safety and are appropriately responsive to any situation posing a risk to, or by, a client
- Will ensure effective coordinating services (e.g., therapy, school supports, healthcare) for youth
- Oversees services being provided and guidance in therapeutic treatment
- Completes Weekly Supervision (Coaching for Success, CFS) with each staff
- Reviews all assessments, treatment plan, case notes and other required documents generated by staff and signs as appropriate
- Oversees and supports Medicaid documentation compliance and quality
- Reviews funding source policies and procedures and trains staff on the implementation of these procedures
- Ensures complete case files are maintained and up to date
- Ensures that staff handles significant events in a prompt and effective manner
- Participates, engages, and initiates various collateral and community outreach to promote agency programs and network within the community
- Monitors various outcome reports monthly and quarterly, including trends and action planning for improvement as needed
- Complete quarterly funder reports, as applicable
- Participates in required meetings and trainings with funding source(s)
- Provides staff with training, education, and ongoing supervision and support, including monitoring of performance and developmental goals
- Oversees case responsibilities and provides guidance in case planning
- Staffs all cases with appropriate staff weekly
- Provides supervision to professional and para-professional staff on therapeutic approaches with clients
- Reviews all written documents generated by staff and signs as appropriate
- Attends court hearings, case reviews, staffing, and meetings as needed in the absence of direct therapist
- Ensures that the required documents are in case file
- Ensures that staff handles significant events in a prompt and effective manner
- Participates, engages, and initiates various collateral and community groups to promote agency programs and to network with the community
- Completes various outcome reports as required and monitor outcomes monthly/quarterly, including trends and action planning for improvement as needed
- Participates in required meeting and trainings with funding source(s)
- Provides staff with training, education, and ongoing supervision and support, including monitoring of WIGs and developmental goals
- Provides licensure supervision to staff to obtain licensure as needed and able
- Oversee, implement, and train on ARC/BCC trauma framework in service delivery
- Ensures adherence to contractual obligations with the funding source
- Handles client, staff, caretaker, and/or collateral complaints and grievances
- Conducts regular unit meetings with staff
- Participates in public speaking engagements to promote agency programs and market our services
- Participates in agency management meetings and work groups
- Assists CQI in the development of agency documentation to enhance programming and to meet the requirements of the funding source policies and procedures
- Provides direct service to children and families in the absence of assigned staff, as needed
- Manages a 24-hour response system, for referral intake and/or client emergencies in a rotation
- Administrative On call responsibilities on a rotation with other supervising staff.
- Manages case assignments to ensure an equal distribution of cases and to maintain the appropriate staff-to-client ratios as outlined by the funding source
- Ensures adequate client contact is maintained in accordance with specific program guidelines and the minimum required contact hours are achieved each month
- Ensures staff at all levels are closely monitoring child and client safety and are appropriately responsive to any situation posing a risk to, or by, a client
- Completes and submits performance appraisals in a timely manner
- Travel to multiple sites and provide support at minimum once a month/weekly based on needs
- Performs other related duties, as assigned

Work Requirements
The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk; or hear. He/she may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee is also exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
