Job Responsibilities
As an Electrician Specialist with One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning, your key responsibilities will include:
* Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components to identify the root cause of a breakdown and correct the issue
* Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, and fixtures
* Connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components
* Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair
* Testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to ensure compatibility and safety of the system
* Planning layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes
* Installing ground leads and connecting power cables to equipment
* Placing conduit inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pulling insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete the circuits between boxes
* Constructing/fabricating parts; fastening boxes to wall to house electrical switches or outlets
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience as an electrician in a residential service and maintenance operation. They should possess basic math and reading comprehension skills, knowledge of electrical field concepts, practices, best practices, and procedures, and solid communication and customer service skills. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are also required.
