The Opportunity
We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Flex Lab Services Specialist/Member Support Specialist to join our team in Virginia.
As a Flex Lab Services Specialist/Member Support Specialist, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient experiences by providing high-quality lab services, supporting clinical operations, and ensuring seamless communication with patients and teammates.
You'll be responsible for:
- Providing best-in-class venipuncture services to patients of all ages
- Performing and assisting with extended scope duties, including non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs
- Maintaining high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization
- Caring for patients beyond the lab room by answering messages, following up on lab cases, and assisting providers and virtual medical teams with clerical duties
- Using impeccable C-I-CARE skills in all patient interactions to ensure a fluid and positive in-office experience
This is a full-time role (40 hours/week) with 8-hour shifts generally taking place Monday through Friday between 7am-7pm in our Virginia offices: Arlington, McLean, Fairfax, and Reston.
What You'll Need
- At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously
- Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams, with an additional bonus for remote team experience
