The Opportunity
As a Medical Assistant at one of our offices focused on our Senior Health member population (age 65 ), you will be an integral part of a collaborative primary care team responsible for supporting patients with their preventive, chronic, and acute care needs. Your primary responsibilities will include establishing trusting relationships with patients and their families, advocating for their needs, and facilitating overall better healthcare outcomes.
You will work closely with providers to monitor patients' health, determine if they are up-to-date on preventive measures, and participate in daily operations such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining the clinical space. You will also assist in providing patient education on chronic disease management and coach patients using motivational interviewing techniques.
