Job Summary
The Director of Maintenance position at One More Child is responsible for all property and asset maintenance such as buildings, grounds, equipment, and vehicles at their designated OMC location(s). Additionally, the Director is responsible for supervising the maintenance assistant(s) assigned to the respective properties. At times, the Director will facilitate volunteer groups for tours or as they are on location to volunteer in a maintenance work capacity. This position is also responsible for facility emergencies and after-hours call management.
Essential Duties And Functions
These physical requirements are not exhaustive, and One More Child may add additional job-related physical demands to these if the need arises. Corrective devices may be used to meet these physical requirements.
The physical activity requirements of this position include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking and hearing. The worker is required to have visual acuity necessary to operate motor vehicles, machines and equipment consistent with campus maintenance duties.
The physical requirements of this include the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or more than 20 pounds of force consistently.

Job Summary

- Effectively manage maintenance employees, assigning daily work responsibilities and tasks.
- Maintain all aspects of designated OMC locations, including, but not limited to buildings and grounds, ensuring they are in a state of good repair, function, and appearance.
- Ensure agency vehicles are maintained and available for staff use.
- Manage work orders in a timely fashion, communicating with internal customers to provide excellent customer service.
- Research and identify the most effective option for outside repair services for buildings or vehicles when necessary.
- Assist with after-hours facility emergencies.
- Collaborate with operations staff to direct and coordinate delivery pick up for donations (such as food, furniture, etc.).
- Collaboration with the Engagement team to coordinate and assist maintenance volunteers, including supervising workdays.
- Ensure volunteers, guests, and partners have a meaningful experience while on the campus.
- Work with the Executive Director of Properties on annual maintenance budget planning and ensure operations remain within that budget.
- In collaboration with the Executive Director of Properties, recruit, hire, and train reporting maintenance assistants.
- Supervise any reporting maintenance assistants, providing timely guidance, coaching, and performance management.
- Experience with maintenance responsibilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Supervisory experience
