Overview
A Billing Assurance Analyst is responsible for manually reviewing and processing client telecommunications invoices that were not automatically approved by our processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and client agreements. Issues may include investigations and resolutions of bill variances, verification of orders from internal Service Delivery team, and initiating cost recovery efforts (disputes) with various providers. The analyst may be required to perform additional tasks in support of a department initiative or goal. The analyst must exhibit basic knowledge and understanding of the telecom industry. The analyst is responsible for maintaining excellence in relationships with clients and vendors. The analyst must maintain standards and conduct that reflect One Source values and set an example for others to follow.
Responsibilities
- Review and update database with current invoice information, ensuring accuracy of charges and requirements are met within standard scope of work.
- Develop knowledge of products, pricing and promotions as it relates to telecom providers in the OSC portfolio.
- Demonstrate attention to detail when investigating client invoices. Take additional action and engage up/downstream teams to aid in resolution as needed.
- Develop a clear understanding and performance of all Billing procedures and protocols. Demonstrate ability to navigate and utilize databases.
- Demonstrate perseverance and diligence when engaging vendors with dispute requests, and continue to follow up and escalate as needed until satisfactory resolution is reached for client.
- Demonstrate a disciplined work ethic including being adaptable and taking necessary steps to fill in any gaps that may arise.
- Use knowledge and skills efficiently and effectively and be willing to develop personal knowledge and skills. Take responsibility for mistakes and thoroughly correct mistakes in a timely manner.
- Data and system use must comply with One Source information security policies and standards.
- Unauthorized access to data and/or systems is prohibited.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to read billing related documents such as invoices.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

Preferred Skills/Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of telecommunications invoices, solutions, provider portals and products; terms and conditions; and contractual agreements.
- Understanding of direct and indirect channels within telecom vendors.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Knowledge of accounting software, specialized database software and/or project management software.
- Interpret a variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or relevant study required or at least 3 years relevant telecom experience.
