Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and optimize business intelligence solutions aligned with organizational goals.
• Design and implement ELT/ETL processes using Microsoft Fabric and other tools to ensure efficient data integration.
• Establish and maintain standardized visualization patterns that enhance user experience and ensure brand consistency.
• Leverage star schema data models provided by the BI data architect to optimize reporting performance.
• Guide and mentor Business Analysts on BI best practices, standards, and architectural principles.
• Select and implement the most effective data visualization techniques to deliver clear, impactful insights.
• Ensure data integrity and system reliability by providing on-call support for BI solutions.
• Maintain and govern data definitions within the organization’s data catalog.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring alignment with non-functional requirements.
• Develop and document technical designs, testing strategies, and quality assurance metrics.
• Partner with business stakeholders and leadership to design scalable, end-to-end BI solutions integrating cloud, automation, APIs, and multi-vendor technologies.
• Ensure compliance with security and IT standards while maintaining strict data confidentiality.
• Stay ahead of industry trends in BI, data processing, and analytics to drive continuous innovation.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of experience developing reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI.
• 3 years of hands-on experience with Power Query (M), DAX, and SQL for data transformation and analytics.
• 3 years of experience in BI solution design, data modeling, and KPI development.
• 3 years of experience presenting and training business stakeholders on BI solutions.

Technical & Leadership Skills

• Thought leadership in BI strategy and solution design.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and related BI tools (additional experience with other tools is a plus).
• Expertise in SQL, Power Query (M), DAX, and Python for data analytics.
• Experience in version control, CI/CD processes, and automated BI solution deployment.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, pipeline orchestration, and analytics frameworks.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business insights.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset for data-driven decision-making.
• Experience in leading and mentoring business analysts to support self-service BI initiatives.
• Proficiency in data visualization best practices to maximize insight delivery.

This position requires the candidate to be onsite in our Raleigh, NC location
