Duties
- Operate delivery vehicles such as vans or box trucks to transport goods.
- Follow designated routes and schedules for timely deliveries.
- Load and unload products, ensuring safe handling of items during transport.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs of mileage and delivery confirmations.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery status.
- Handle heavy lifting and moving of items as required during deliveries.
- Navigate using GPS or maps to optimize routes and minimize delays.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience as a van driver or box truck operator preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and moving tasks.
- Previous experience in route driving or delivery services is a plus.
- Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with customers and team members.
