What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at One Tech Engineering?
One Tech Engineering is looking for a Maintenance Technician for a position located in Madison, Wisconsin. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine building maintenance, preventative maintenance on our machines, installing new equipment, electrical and plumbing repairs, and more. The Maintenance Technician will be on first shift, Monday – Friday (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM).
The candidate must be a US Citizen or a green card holder, the position is not eligible for sponsorship. The candidate should have previous experience with electrical troubleshooting and PLCs.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Performing routine building maintenance.
- Preventative maintenance on the machines.
- Installing new equipment.
- Electrical and plumbing repairs, and more.
Requirements of the Maintenance Technician
- Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience performing machine maintenance.
- Strong mechanical skills.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Electrical repair and troubleshooting experience.
- Able to diagnose and program PLC & HMI.
- Must furnish own Mechanic set of tools in Metric and Standard.
- Must furnish own locking toolbox.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge and experience using Mills, Lathes, and Band Saws.
- Able to read mechanical drawings.
- Diagnose and repair chain-driven and gear-driven equipment.
- Diagnose and repair A.C. & D.C motors and controls, including VFD motors
- Mig welding experience..
Physical Demands
- Ability to work with heavy machinery.
- Periodic lifting and working in different positions that may include kneeling, laying, standing, or sitting.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds with or without accommodations.
