Safety Manager
We are seeking a Safety Manager to oversee safety at our project sites and ensure a safe, healthy work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations.
- Develop programs to train employees on work site safety practices, fire prevention, and chemical handling techniques.
- Analyze industrial accident causes and hazards to health and prepare studies for company use.
- Inspect facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards.
- Provide information and materials to warn of potential and actual safety hazards.
- Investigate accidents and injuries and compile accident reports.
- Assist with workers' compensation program administration and prepare safety exhibits for display.
Requirements:
- Relevant college degree in construction management/occupational safety and specialized training or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Strong communication skills and knowledge of Project Management software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
- Valid driver's license, CDL preferred, and OSHA500 and OSHA510 Certification required. Additional certifications preferred, including OSHA10, HAZWOPER40, and 1st Aid/CPR/AED.
