Description
One Way Wireless Construction is seeking crew members for our Distributed Antenna System installation team. The ideal candidate will have a basic construction background and have exposure to wireless systems.The DAS installation position is located in Shakopee, Minnesota. This position reports directly to the Project Manager to execute the projects in accordance with corporate policy.
There is plenty of overtime available and it is not uncommon for techs to work 60 hours a week. OWWC pays overtime at 1.5 times the hourly wage after 40 hours are worked in a given week. Per diem is paid at $150 each night that is spent out of town (anything 60 miles from our shop in Shakopee is eligible for per diem).
There is no prior telecom experience requirement, but applicants must have some relevant work experience in another field, along with the willingness and ability to learn quickly and work independently.
Requirements
- Operating scissor lift (MEWP)
- Use electronic testing equipment including Line Sweep, PIM, OTDR
- Cabling (Overhead- Fiber optic and Coaxial cable)
- Terminate various cables (RJ50, LDF4, CAT 5/6)
- Clean fiber optic cable (SM, MM)
- Possess or successfully pass all required certifications (OSHA 10, MEWP, RF awareness, etc.)
- Antenna installation and mounting
- Must be willing to travel out of state for up to two weeks at a time
QUALIFICATIONS
- Great communication
- Great work ethic - must be willing to learn
- Willing to work overnight as necessary.
- Must undergo a background check.
- Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen.
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to climb and work from ladders and Aerial lifts.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 75lbs and be on your feet the majority of shift.
- Overnight travel will be required for future projects
