Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our high end Seafood restaurant on the bay in Highlands, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and hospitality management, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service in a welcoming environment. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, interacting with guests, and maintaining the highest standards of food service and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and oversee front of house staff, including servers, bartenders, food runners, and bussers, to ensure efficient service.
- Interacting with guests of the restaurant and ensuring that hospitality is instituted throughout service on a daily/nightly basis.
- Oversee food service operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train and mentor staff on best practices in hospitality and customer service.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the dining experience for guests in a fine dining setting.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless communication between front and back of house operations.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front of house area.
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality management or a related field within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food production processes and standards.
- Excellent inventory control skills to manage supplies effectively.
- Bartending experience is a plus for establishments with bar service.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
