For more than 15 years, students participating in One World’s programs have increased their knowledge of social justice and become critical researchers and skilled writers; two essential skills needed for college and career success.
Position Overview
One World’s Afterschool Site Lead is systematic, detail-oriented, overly organized, and culturally responsive when working with students and families. The Site Lead sets the tone of each program session by attending to key operational and administrative needs. Our Site Leads maintain daily attendance records, oversee all student document collection, and make real-time decisions regarding implementation reconsiderations as needed. The Site Lead is responsible for upholding policies regarding bullying, technology use, safety policies, and communicating related issues to leadership. To meet the rigorous academic pace, our Site Lead will also provide student writing feedback as part of a larger feedback team.
Your main responsibilities will include :
- Fully comprehend program goals to support program success and compliance metrics
- Provide administrative support for student registration and enrollment processes
- Participate in a regular cycle of family phone calls to support registration, maintaining a family communication log
- Prepare site (space) for program sessions and family events
- Attend to supply inventory
- Provide low-grade tech support and keep a log of tech challenges
- Greet and check in students and session guests (i.e. school staff, families, funders, board members)
- Track and input accurate attendance records in the Program Database
- Run and submit weekly site reports to the Senior Program Manager
- Lead session close-out tasks, including a post-session debrief with instructional staff
- Report and document unexpected incidents related to safety (including incidents of bullying)
- Support transportation efforts from partner schools
- Track and input necessary student work in the database
- Maintain up-to-date records and flag challenges
- Provide student feedback as part of the ongoing feedback cycle
- Remain up to date with weekly news blasts for Teacher Leaders and Program Staff
- Maintain awareness of the curriculum and student learning tasks to substitute for absent teachers during small-group instruction if needed
- Attend weekly programs team standup meetings
- Attend ongoing trainings

Tuesday-Thursday 4-7pm with 3-5 additional asynchronous hours each week, including a weekly meeting during regular office hours.
Fall semester, 9 / 17-12 / 16. This position includes the possibility of extension into spring, contingent upon performance and program needs.
