Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed throughout their shopping experience.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the cash register, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Maintain knowledge of store products and services to effectively assist customers with inquiries.
- Conduct product demos to enhance customer engagement and promote sales.
- Ensure that the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist in supervising junior staff members when required, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and ensure accurate pricing.
- Support inventory management by restocking shelves and monitoring stock levels as needed.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding promotions, store policies, and product information.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred, particularly in a grocery store setting.
- Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail in processing transactions.
