Policy Technician

Policy Technician - Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

We're seeking an individual who is efficient and comfortable being a member of a team. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting/bookkeeping and familiar with processing and issuing invoices and documentation. They learn processes quickly and accurately and take ownership of their workflow.

Your Impact:

• Manage workflow and ensure that deadlines are met, and work is completed correctly
• Issue invoices, binders, policies, bonds, endorsements, and riders for assigned programs
• Process Certificate of Coverages, location entities, proposals, and binder packets
• Update the rating system to reflect updated rates and statement of values
• Gather and file submission applications, loss costs, flood maps
• Issue assigned Bordereaux and applicable payments
• Submit Surplus Lines tax reports at various required intervals (monthly, quarterly, or annually)
• Perform annual program audits
• Generate and issue renewal letters to brokers and insureds for assigned programs
• Input data for the assigned program(s) into Microsoft Excel and proprietary iSeries software application
• Prepare and update administrative procedure manuals for assigned programs
• Maintain electronic files for programs according to specified standards

Successful Candidates Will Have:

• Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Comfortable working with numbers, performing data entry, and conducting analysis while ensuring accuracy
• Detail oriented and capable of working in a fast-paced office environment
• Exceptional communication skills
• Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner
• Experience in accounting/bookkeeping strongly preferred

At One80 Intermediaries, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings, and paid time off and paid holidays for eligible employees. The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected base pay range for this position is between $17.79 - $24.05 per hour bonus. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
