What are the responsibilities and job description for the Underwriter position at One80 Intermediaries?
We are seeking an Underwriter to join our team in a hybrid role based out of Media, PA. The Underwriter is responsible for evaluating insurance applications, assessing risk, and determining appropriate coverage terms and pricing. This position involves analyzing applicant information, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will help maintain the financial soundness of our insurance portfolio while providing excellent service to agents and clients.
Your Impact:
- Review and analyze insurance applications and supporting documentation
- Assess risk factors and determine appropriate coverage and pricing
- Collaborate with agents and clients to clarify information and resolve issues
- Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions and rationales
- Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance
Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Medical Stop loss experience required
- 1-3 years of experience in underwriting or related roles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
