Are you passionate about supporting first responders in Santa Barbara County? One805, a mission-critical nonprofit dedicated to serving the needs of the Chiefs of Santa Barbara County, is seeking a Development Manager. In this role, you will help grow and nurture our donor base while ensuring our messaging aligns with our vital mission.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborating with the CEO to nurture and expand our donor base while ensuring consistent and compelling messaging that reflects our mission.
- Researching and preparing grant applications to secure critical funding.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with donors and corporate sponsors.
- Managing our donor database using DonorPerfect, ensuring accurate tracking and engagement.
- Supporting the planning and execution of events alongside staff and volunteers.
- Developing marketing materials to communicate our mission and engage stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
- A strong background in nonprofit development particularly in Santa Barbara County.
- Proven ability to craft and maintain mission-driven messaging.
- Experience with DonorPerfect or similar donor management systems.
- Strong writing skills, with experience in preparing grant applications and donor communications.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a lean, fast-paced environment.
Additional Details:
- Hours are flexible and can be extended depending on workload or event requirements.
- This role offers a mix of remote and in-person work in Santa Barbara.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
