What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Associate position at OneAscent Financial?
OneAscent is currently seeking an Operations Associate who will be responsible for processing requests for the Advisors that we serve. As a key member of the support team for our advisors, this Operations Associate ensures that tasks and projects are completed with a high level of efficiency, confidentiality, accuracy, flexibility, and positivity to support the initiatives of the business. This position requires a careful attention to detail paired with a strong desire and ability to deliver high quality customer service.
Duties And Responsibilities
Responsibilities assigned can vary from week to week based on the needs of business, but typically include:
- Establishing accounts for clients, including account transfers
- Processing transactions (e.g. trading, wires, journals)
- Compiling and maintaining back office records and activities
- Assisting with certain audit functions related to billing and compliance
- Working closely with advisors in maintaining client accounts
- Working to streamline procedures to maximize compliance and minimize unnecessary procedures
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics
- Experience in investment management and/or financial advisory services is required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy even when completing tasks that some may consider repetitive.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Detail-oriented, meticulous, accurate, organized, and able to set priorities
- Self-starter with bias for action and taking initiative
- Team player, with ability to take specific direction
- Desire/ability to work successfully in a small company environment
- Experience with any of the following software or custodial platforms is a plus: Salesforce, Redtail, Wealth Box, Schwab Institutional, TD Ameritrade, Fidelity, Black Diamond, and Orion
This role is full-time onsite at the headquarters in Birmingham, AL reporting to the Director of Advisor Operations.
