A dual role with responsibilities to provide support for Hospice, including support for Administrator, supervisor, office staff, and field staff.
Primary function is to ensure that all cases are staffed with the most qualified staff. Creating excellence with making quality matches between patients and caregivers, and customer service follow up.
Summary
In the role of Hospice Scheduler/Volunteer Coordinator, you will be essential in scheduling and coordinating volunteer efforts to support hospice patients and their families. Reporting to the hospice management team, you will utilize your medical office experience and strong communication skills to ensure efficient operations. Your core competencies in patient service and administrative tasks will be complemented by premium skills in EHR systems and HIPAA compliance. This position requires excellent time management and project coordination abilities, making you a vital part of our compassionate care team dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for those we serve.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Ensuring customer service satisfaction through follow up with patients and employees, and community partners.
- Scheduling staff with the best match to insure patient and staff satisfaction.
- Ability to plan and be proactive in staffing ongoing visits and monthly schedules with continuity and as far into the future as possible.
- Filing, mailing, and other duties as assigned by Clinical Supervisor or Administrator.
- Assists with ensuring effective volunteer recruiting and retention to meet growth needs.
- Coordinates all aspects of daily scheduling.
- Proficient at computer scheduling and dealing with multiple tasks.
- Participate in weekly or as scheduled staff meetings.
- Provide reminder calls to staff and clients on a as needed to ensure smooth schedules for both staff and clients
- Proficient at scheduling in most efficient manner for time worked and miles driven.
- Maintains and updates call schedules.
- Maintain monthly statistics.
- Develop and maintain volunteer training and orientation program.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal relations. Ability to develop and maintain a rapport with staff and clients.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow up on unfinished tasks, open schedules and client/staff concerns.
- Maintain confidential information and use of discretion in decision making.
- Self motivated, industrious, organized and efficient with excellent time. Management skills and good project coordination skills. Home Health, Hospice, PCA or Medical office experience
Preferred: High School graduate
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP: Reports to Clinical Supervisor and/or other Administrator and or Director of Operations.
Must have stable work history
Must be able to pass background checks
This position requires this individual to multitask, Scheduling, In-take, Answering phones.
