Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy and Roadmap:
    • Own and drive the product roadmap, working closely with leadership to define the long-term strategy.
    • Define clear product vision, goals, and metrics for success based on customer needs, market trends, and company objectives.
    • Balance business needs with technical feasibility, and prioritize features based on impact and resources.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate closely with engineering, UX/UI design, and data science teams to deliver high-quality products.
    • Act as the bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on product priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
    • Maintain strong relationships with senior leadership, providing regular updates on product status and key decisions.
  • Technical Product Leadership:
    • Define technical specifications and requirements, ensuring that they are clearly understood by both technical and non-technical teams.
    • Work with engineering teams to ensure that the product’s technical architecture supports its current and future needs.
    • Understand complex technical challenges and provide practical, innovative solutions to keep product development on track.
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential integration into the product offering.
  • Agile Development and Execution:
    • Lead agile product development cycles, from initial planning and sprint cycles to delivery.
    • Develop user stories, prioritize backlogs, and ensure that product releases meet quality standards.
    • Analyze and report on product performance, using data to refine and iterate on the product roadmap.
  • Customer and Market Insights:
    • Engage directly with customers to understand their pain points, preferences, and needs.
    • Conduct competitive analysis and stay up-to-date on market trends to ensure our products remain innovative and relevant.
    • Define user personas and guide the team on delivering user-centered designs.
  • Product Demos and Customer Engagement:
    • Provide comprehensive demos of the product to potential customers, showcasing key features and how the product solves their specific pain points.
    • Tailor demos to the audience, focusing on the technical aspects of the product that matter most to different customer types.
    • Work closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth handoff of leads and provide ongoing support for customer inquiries and technical questions.
    • Gather feedback from potential customers during demos to continuously improve the product experience and inform future product development.
  • Internal Training and Documentation:
    • Provide internal product training sessions for cross-functional teams, ensuring all departments have a solid understanding of the product’s capabilities and features.
    • Work with internal departments, including sales, marketing, and customer support, to update and maintain user and technical documentation.
    • Collaborate with technical writers and subject matter experts to create and update knowledge base articles, FAQs, and training materials to ensure consistency and accuracy.
    • Ensure internal teams are equipped with the resources and knowledge they need to effectively communicate product value to customers and stakeholders.
    • Regularly update product documentation to ensure all product information is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with new features and changes.
Requirements

  • Experience:
    • 3 years of experience in a Technical Product Manager or Product Manager role with a focus on technical products or platforms.
    • Proven experience working in an agile development environment.
    • Experience in leading the development of technical products, SaaS platforms, or enterprise solutions.
  • Technical Skills:
    • A strong understanding of software development processes, including experience with technologies such as React, Django, Postgres, Redis, AWS cloud computing, APIs, microservices, machine learning, WebRTC, Matrix, VoIP, Jisti, etc.
    • Familiarity with product management tools (Jira, Trello, Asana) and prototyping tools (Figma, InVision).
    • Strong understanding of systems architecture and the ability to communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels of the organization.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations.
    • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with experience managing multiple priorities.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, or a related field.
