Summary:

The Business Analyst is primarily responsible for the collection of requirements and documentation of processes. This role will interact with internal and external stakeholders, development teams and play a key role in developing the maturity of the Business Solutions Product Management (BSPM) team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Obtain a deep understanding of relevant business areas through interactions with stakeholders to be able to recommend solutions and build high-quality requirements.
  • Develop optimization strategies by maintaining regular reviews of business processes
  • Create epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria in ADO, and work with the Product Manager to prioritize the backlog.
  • Support IT teams as they develop, test, and deploy solutions
  • Support BSPM initiatives by maintaining and updating product requirements
  • Work closely with the product manager and other stakeholders for backlog refinement and sprint planning.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including but not limited to team stand ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, PI Discovery and Planning etc.
  • Articulates technical concepts to business stakeholders
  • Works collaboratively across with technical and business teams
  • Assist in meeting coordination, notes, documentation, follow-ups, summaries, and action items to provide clear ownership and accountability.
  • Create artifacts as appropriate, including business case documentation, scope documentation, and process flows.
  • Maintains highest level of service standard

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to create and maintain detailed technical documents
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills; ability to tailor communication to different audiences, such as management, stakeholders, users, SMEs, developers, and others.
  • Excellent organizational experience, professionalism, and time management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with others of all levels
  • Ability to work with clients and partners at a strategic level
  • Ability to manage work on multiple projects with competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of D365, ADO, and Agile methodology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, SharePoint, Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Education, Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in IT and business/insurance industry that gave the candidate a close-enough view of the target customer role to understand what they do, and what they see as valuable.
  • Experience in an analyst, industrial engineering, or process optimization role

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
