Welcome to OneEighty a safe place, a source of hope and new direction. We’re a private, non-profit organization dedicated to helping people in and around Wayne and Holmes counties in Ohio. We provide comprehensive addiction, domestic violence, mental health and behavioral health services and operate multiple care facilities throughout our service areas.

OneEighty is seeking to hire a full-time Grounds & Facilities Technician who is responsible for maintaining the general grounds maintenance of OneEighty properties. In the winter months, this position will help department staff in general maintenance functions.

Essential Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performs grounds maintenance by mowing, weeding, sweeping, raking leaves and mulching. Blows and sweeps sidewalks, parking lots, patio areas, and other assigned areas.
• Responsible for the daily upkeep of main property buildings (GLC and Shelter) and grounds, which includes outside cleaning and trash removal.
• Trims bushes, shrubs and hedges.
• Cuts and removes trees, as needed.
• Applies fertilizer, pesticides and herbicides as directed.
• Operates and maintains mowers, weed eaters, and other equipment used in the care of grounds.
• Completes snow removal tasks such as plowing, shoveling sidewalks, steps and doorways during the winter months.
• Operates snowblower and snowplow to clear driveways and parking lots.
• Maintain routine records for work orders, equipment repair and maintenance, and chemical applications.
• Perform routine maintenance/repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, painting, carpentry, mechanical, etc. as directed by the Facilities Maintenance Manager.
• Trains and monitors clients and residents performing basic groundskeeping tasks such as mowing the lawn, weed eating and mulching.
• Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to recruit volunteers for bigger projects.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

• High School Diploma, or equivalent. At least one year related experience/training.
• May not receive clinical services at OneEighty.
• If in recover, must have two years continuous sobriety.
• Must have a valid Ohio Driver License and maintain a driving record that allows the individual to be insurable with the insurance company providing OneEighty's vehicle insurance. Travel to other sites to maintain grounds is required.
• Must be certified in CPR/First Aid, or able to attain certification.
• Ability to use a computer; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, Teams, Zoom and social media tools.
• Ability to facilitate and maintain productive communication while maintaining a professional relationship with clients and coworkers. Ability to work as a team.
• Must have an excellent attendance record.
• Must have essential physical and mental capabilities in the following: interpersonal skills, memory, attention to detail, follow directions, comprehension, calculating. reading, writing, speaking, evaluating, mathematics, and organizing.
• Physical agility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; to bend, to stoop, to walk, to stretch, to pull, to reach overhead, and work from a ladder.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
• Ability to operate various types of power equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment.

Work Schedule: Full-time, non-exempt, 40 hours per week. Generally Monday - Friday, any time from 7:00AM - 5:00PM (some flexibility required, dependent on weather conditions to complete some tasks).

Immediate Supervisor: Facilities Maintenance Manager

Pay Range: $17.00/hour starting pay, increases dependent on educations, licensure, and experience.
