OneFifteen has developed a tech-enabled system of care that offers a treatment center, rehabilitation housing, and wrap-around services, all on one state-of-the-art campus. The Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) will collaborate with other team members to provide best-practice care with an innovative spirit and help drive a holistic approach to care and reduce stigma. At the same time, the CDCA will be comfortable working in ambiguous situations and blend best-in-class care delivery models with advanced technology solutions to engage care team members, improve outcomes, and reduce costs.
The CDCA has knowledge and experience in treatment planning, assessment, crisis intervention, individual, family, and group counseling, case management, and education services as they relate to behavioral health conditions related to substance use disorder.
The CDCA is an active member of the team under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor or Designee The CDCA‘s role will help support participants in their recovery journey, ensuring individualized care and adherence to treatment goals. The CDCA will work in a residential treatment setting and may occasionally accompany participants into the community to provide supportive supervision.

Duties and Responsibilites
- Provide treatment services consistent with CDCA scope of practice
- Facilitate group sessions related to substance use and recovery
- Perform supportive, trauma informed care to participants, creating a healthy and safe environment for those in early recovery
- Monitor and evaluate participants’ progress during treatment and collaborate with other treatment team members
- Conduct regular wellness checks on participants and continuous supervision as needed
- Conduct urine drug screens and supervise/document self-administration of prescribed medication
- Complete all documentation in the required time frames
- Coordinate services with the assigned care team and transport clients as appropriate
- Assure documentation is completed per OMHAS, regulatory, and agency requirements following best practices
- Complete documentation within a specified timeframe using Electronic Medical Records
- Attend required meetings, including individual and group supervision, treatment team meetings, training, and community events as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned
- Knowledge of substance use disorders and trauma informed care
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong teamwork and organization/time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of community agency and resources.
- Computer and typing skills. Must be able to use an electronic health record system.
Minimum:
- Renewable CDCA
- GED/High School Diploma
- Must satisfy relevant state requirements for Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant with an active certification for CDCA through the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board
- 1-2 years experience working with substance use
- Active affiliation with appropriate professional networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement are preferred
- Work Setting: Indoors, environmentally controlled
- Body Positioning:
- Spend time sitting and standing, making repetitive motions, spend time using hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls. Frequently lift or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs
- Communication: Contact with others, electronic mail, in-person discussions, public speaking, telephone, video
