Summary:
As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for installing various components and assembling our hydrogen-producing and distribution equipment. Some components are heavy and need a forklift to position them for assembly. Some components are light and can be installed by hand.
Precision measuring, precision layout, and component mounting/assembly are the primary functions of this job. Components installed include Electric motors, pumps, pulleys & belts, compressors, condenser tanks, storage vessels, filters, cooling system components, and various valve technologies. Electrical controls and panels are also installed.
Experience and Abilities:
- 1-3 years of high-end mechanical work experience.
- Hands-on skills and high-end knowledge of hand tools, electrical.
- tools, and associated equipment.
- Strong precision measuring and layout skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clean and organized tools/work area skills.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to read blueprints, CAD drawings, and sketches.
- Ability to use verbal instruction in lieu of formal drawings.
- Ability to maintain production pace with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain a "clean" laboratory-type working environment at all times.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
