Job Summary:
We are seeking a strong-minded, results-driven Terminal Manager to oversee and ensure the smooth operation of our hydrogen logistics and service terminal. This role requires a leader with extensive experience in oil & gas, piping, boiler room/manufacturing, or similar industrial environments. The ideal candidate will have the ability to take full ownership of terminal operations, work independently, and be accountable for all aspects of daily activities. This position is onsite in Savannah, GA, with a requirement for 24/7 on-call availability to handle any operational needs. The selected candidate must also be able to travel to Long View, NC for one week of training.
Responsibilities:
Operational & Technical Management
- Oversee daily terminal operations, ensuring efficient and compliant handling, storage, and distribution of hydrogen products.
- Maintain operational flow, ensuring all logistics, service, and supply chain activities run smoothly.
- Be hands-on and capable of filling in when needed- understand roles under your supervision, including how to fill a trailer.
- Monitor multiple reports, check records, and ensure operational efficiency.
- Stay familiar with industry-specific software and operational tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the corporation.
Leadership & Accountability
- Serve as the go-to leader for terminal operations- work independently and own the role.
- Manage a team, enforce accountability, and ensure all employees meet performance expectations.
- Lead with a no-nonsense, strong-minded approach.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, skill enhancement, and operational efficiency.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce strict safety protocols, PPE compliance, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct safety audits, ensure adherence to industry standards, and mitigate operational risks.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
Customer & Vendor Communication
- Maintain strong communication with key partners.
- Address service issues, maintain customer satisfaction, and ensure a seamless logistics experience.
- Respond quickly to operational challenges, working closely with vendors and customers.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Science (preferred) or a related technical field.
- 5-7 years of experience in terminal, logistics, operations, or service management in the oil & gas, piping, or boiler room/manufacturing industries.
- Previous managerial experience in operations is required.
- Strong technical knowledge, but more importantly, the ability to own the job duties and be accountable.
- Must be comfortable working independently and making decisions that impact operations.
- Experience handling reports, operational records, and compliance tracking.
- Familiarity with software tools related to terminal operations and logistics.
- Must be able to work onsite (Savannah, GA) and be on-call 24/7 for urgent issues.
- Willing to travel to Long View, NC for initial training.
