OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (Per Diem Extended Care)

Oneida Health Extended Care Facility is looking for a Per Diem Occupational Therapist for Rehabilitation.

Compensation: $34.00 to $44.20 per hour

What You Will Be Great At:

• Provide evaluations upon physician referral
• Provide treatments; supervise treatments provided by COTA and revise treatments as needed
• Recommend and assist in providing residents with functional equipment
• Participate in interdisciplinary team to integrate occupational therapy into the team care plan
• Document evaluations, daily notes and weekly notes per department policy
• Documents appropriate GG codes for all patients that require these codes
• Manage RUG categories, in collaboration with PT and ST to ensure residents are placed in the appropriate categories necessary to optimize both outcome and well and reimbursement.
• Manager ARD to ensure optimal reimbursement
• Participates in weekly team meetings and updates team in a timely fashion with changes regarding resident care or status
• Participate in Rounding
• Maintain oversight of daily therapy schedule in order to maximize utilization of staff

Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements

Required:

• Graduate of an occupational therapy Bachelor of Science program with a curriculum approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a staff occupational therapist.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Required:

• Licensed and currently registered to practice as an Occupational Therapist in New York State
