Summary :
Position is responsible for providing and ensuring that all maintenance needs are completed at a high-level for Oneida Nation. Leading, training, and mentoring of Maintenance staff will also play a role in the overall health, safety, and maintenance of the Oneida Nation's facilities.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and direct Tribal maintenance projects to include, but not limited to the repairs and maintenance of building infrastructure systems.
- Lead and implement assigned work tasks from projects beginning through completion
- Follow safe and proper procedures for using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, power tools, standard measuring instruments and making standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work.
- Estimate material and labor costs for construction jobs
- Install, repair and perform preventive maintenance work at all Department of Public Works (DPW) Facilities, emergency devices and mechanical. Duties include, but not limited to inspecting fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, generators, building access, and facilities equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair of building systems
- Document repairs and Preventive Maintenance using the Archibus Work Order System.
- Ensure short- and long-range planning for all Facility maintenance.
- Working cooperatively and ensuring excellent customer service with all internal and external customers
- Assist with Custodial and Grounds Keeping responsibilities as required, to include, but not limited to shoveling, cleaning, removal of snow and ice, and upkeep of the grounds and buildings
- Adhere to all Tribal Personnel Policies and Procedures, Tribal Standard Operating Procedures, and Area and Program Strategic Plans and Policies
- Maintain strict departmental security, confidentiality, and quality to meet professional standards of the department
