Sustainment and Restoration Services (SRS) is a small business firm that provides engineering, science, construction, munitions, and specialized professional services solutions for customers nationwide.
SRS has an immediate opening for a Project Scientist at our San Antonio, Texas Office on a Hybrid Schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret data (analytical and geochemical) to create maps and reports.
- Prepare and present technical reports summarizing findings, methodologies, and recommendations for clients and project teams.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals, cost estimates, and project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental laws during field activities.
- Coordinate and supervise field crews, ensuring efficient and accurate data collection.
- Maintain and organize geological and analytical data, records, and samples.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, environmental scientists, and other geologists, to deliver integrated solutions.
- Support senior technical personnel and project managers in project planning, development, and execution.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in environmental science or related field
- At least 8 years of environmental science experience, with at least 3 years of environmental consulting experience.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel to field sites as needed.
- Willingness to work in various field conditions, including remote or challenging environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in environmental science or related field
- Professional certification or ability to obtain certification.
Compensation Range: $80,000 to $105,000 per year
