Overview
The Oneida SWCD is accepting applications for watercraft inspectors at the Cherry Creek Rest Area for the 2025 season (March 1- November 30th). We operate on behalf of the Idaho State Department of Agriculture Invasive Species Program.
We will be conducting interviews on February 12th. No experience is necessary. Two paid mandatory training days are required. Starting pay is currently $14.20 per hour, with a $1.00 raise after successfully completing 90 days. Come join our amazing team!
Duties
- Inspection of all boats and watercraft passing into Idaho from Utah via I-15.
- Conduct surveys with all customers coming through our inspection station.
- Good communication with customers.
- Educate all customers about watercraft laws in Idaho.
- Communication with ISDA program managers when fouled boats are found.
- Communication with county and state officers on duty.
- Responsible for Aquatic Invasive Species sticker sales to customers for Idaho Parks & Recreation regulations.
- Operate machinery used to do hot washes on watercraft from infested water.
- Treat co-workers and customers with respect.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail for quality inspections.
- Must be able to climb in and under a boat/watercraft.
- Able to responsibly work unsupervised and make decisions that align with training of inspection duties.

Pay: $14.20 - $15.20 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 36 per week
