Join to apply for the Director, Fatherhood Initiative Program role at Lutheran Family Services .Job Type : Full-TimePosition Summary Provide overall direction, planning, development, coordination, and supervision of the Fatherhood Initiative Project across multiple locations in the state of Nebraska.Job Duties In collaboration with the Assistant Vice President of Community Based Services- Children and Families, monitor / update written program standards, service delivery plans and program evaluation plans for the Fatherhood Initiative Project.Provide direct supervision to staff including program supervisors, training and education coordinators, and data support specialists.Ensure the implementation of multiple program activities in the Fatherhood Program including individual case management and service planning, employment services, educational and supportive services.Monitor service delivery to ensure standards are met and the best quality service is being provided.Participate in continuous quality improvement planning and duties for the program.In collaboration with the Grants and Finance team, manage and complete grant applications and grant reporting requirements for programming within Fatherhood Programming.Provide program status reports to the Assistant Vice President of Community Based Services- Children and Families as requested.Provide leadership and direction to the continual growth and improvement of Fatherhood Programming by identifying trends, both internal and external to LFS.Attend in-house training, conferences, seminars, and participate in independent study to stay current on issues, policies, and procedures related to children services.Serve on appropriate community committees and projects to strengthen the agency’s image and the quality of community life.Develop and maintain positive working relationships with appropriate public community organizations and referral sources.Utilize and cooperate with the agency’s communication and development efforts to achieve the program and agency-wide public relations and fundraising goals.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Skills / Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.Awareness and sensitivity to the organization’s constituents and the populations served by employees.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Regular and predictable attendance, and promptness for work.Commitment to uphold the mission, vision, and values of Lutheran Family Services.Support our organization’s objective to be a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible workplace.Position Competencies Verbal communicationWritten CommunicationCritical ThinkingOrganizational SkillsLeadershipEducation And Experience Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, public health, criminal justice or related field is required, masters preferred.Three (3) years’ progressive leadership / supervisory experience in providing quality program development, supervision, and program development.Knowledge of family relationships / systems, child welfare, and criminal justice desired.Ability to manage budget and other resources.Knowledge of program development and building relationships in the service community.Demonstrated understanding of and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Hybrid work environment (in office and remote).Travel between program site locations required.Lutheran Family Services is an equal opportunity employer.
