OneMain Financial Associate Creative Director, Copy - Baltimore, Maryland The Associate Creative Director, Copy is responsible for all copy generated at OMF. Managing a team of 4 copywriters, the ideal candidate will have the ability to translate business objectives into platform and messaging strategies that unify our core value propositions. A thirst for knowledge about our audiences and how they engage with OMF will be critical, as will the ability to tell stories across channels.Combining experience in content strategy, brand adherence and copywriting, the ACD candidate will have deep knowledge of social, web, marketing / promotional, direct (email), blog, UX / UI and advertising content development. Experience working with business stakeholders to understand goals and audiences is a key part of this role.In the Role : Own the development and relevance of all content at OMFShape and maintain the OMF brand tone and voice and how it applies to effective and successful contentWork closely with cross functional teams including content producers, business owners, UX managers and marketing leaders to ensure all content meets their goals.Partner with brand stakeholder teams to develop and maintain a consistent, easily usable content depository as part of your brand guidelinesManage and mentor an internal team of four, providing feedback on assigned work and support in prioritizing workloads and processPartner with the ACD of Design to work with multiple vendors for social, video and overflow in various capacities - brainstorming, writing, editing and managingWork with the Creative Director to lead brainstorms and concept-development sessionsLead, concept and / or write content that ties to an omnichannel strategy : Web, email, social / digital, direct mail, UX, print, events and internal communicationsCollaborate with the Creative Account Manager to assign projects and attend kick off meetingsPartner with design peers to concept direct response, advertising and engagement ideas and bring those concepts with clear rational that ties to business goalsRequirements : 8 years of experience of marketing / direct copy development in social, email, UX and advertising4 years as a strategist and content designer4 years’ experience managing and mentoring a copywriter teamDemonstrated strategic planning projects that hit business goalsDemonstrated managing and applying brand tone and voice in accordance with brand guidelinesA strong desire to understand the needs and wants of our audiences and our competitive environmentPossess an eye for quality writing and the ability to build a powerful storyAbility to quickly grasp assignments, make decisions and determine next stepsExperience in managing and mentoring an experienced copywriting teamAbility to collaborate with peers and coworkers and create an inclusive creative environmentDemonstrated experience in working with an omnichannel content strategySolid presenter that can back up work with a clear rationale tied to strategyProficiency in Word, PPT, InDesign, Miro and FigmaPreferred : Financial experience or regulated industry a plusA mix of in-house and agency experienceUX experience preferredWho we Are OneMain Financial (NYSE : OMF) is the leader in offering nonprime customers responsible access to credit and is dedicated to improving the financial well-being of hardworking Americans.
