VP/MD - Card Acquisitions

We are seeking a senior leader to support our growing credit card business. In this critical role, the individual will lead the Customer Acquisitions team for OneMain’s year-new and fast growing, credit card business. This leader will be responsible for all aspects of credit card originations.

A successful candidate will expand their competencies and grow their business and industry acumen, as well as demonstrate the ability to work on complex processes or projects across the end-to-end project cycle. They will gain knowledge to suggest new answers to old questions, develop insights and push the traditional boundaries of the lending industry.

In the Role

• Develop and optimize a holistic card acquisitions strategy including, product, marketing and pricing.

• Create and execute all credit cards risk/reward frameworks, NPV and Customer Lifetime Value models related to card acquisition

• Partner with internal teams to structure card acquisition related data-science models

• Design & manage ongoing foundational and acquisition related tests

• Create and manage an efficient valuations infrastructure and process

• Partner with Technology, Product and Design teams to build application journeys

• Build and develop a team of analysts supporting the long-term card product growth

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (required) or Advanced Degree (preferred)

• 12 years’ analytics leadership experience; must have significant exposure to credit cards and fintechs

• Proven success in building and optimizing full life cycle customer acquisition strategies

• 5 years of experience creating valuations frameworks and NPV/CLV models and the ability to communicate risk/reward trade-offs to executive management team

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills at the executive level

• Deep knowledge and expertise of using analytical tools and techniques to drive business outcomes (preferred experience with credit cards and/or fintechs)

• Knowledge of consumer-lending best practices, including the use of advanced statistical techniques and data sources

• Experience in developing digital strategies across financial products and services

• Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills to gain trust and achieve business objectives

• Ability to work in fast-paced ever-changing environment and the ability to juggle an array of tasks and individuals on tight timelines

• Innovative and capable of developing a highly analytical approach to solving problems

• Demonstrates the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational delivery

• Strong team leader with a focus on employee development & proven ability for building & leading large talented teams

• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior executives and peers across functions

• Ability to synthesize insights across different sources into a comprehensive and holistic strategy

• Exhibits energy, curiosity, and ability to frame intelligent questions to uncover issues and spearhead the formulation of approach and methodology

• Self-motivated and organized – a high degree of comfort managing multiple stakeholders and team members; strong collaboration and teamwork skills; and a problem-solver oriented toward achieving results

Target base salary range is 180K – 235K which is based on various factors including skills and work experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive compensation program that is based on individual and company performance.
