JOB SUMMARY
Are you passionate about mechanics and eager to apply your skills in a real-world setting? Join us as a Field Mechanic Intern at ONEOK, Inc. at our Broken Arrow, OK location this summer! You will gain hands-on experience in mechanical work on equipment at our natural gas processing facilities. This internship is designed to provide you with practical knowledge and skills in maintaining and repairing critical infrastructure, while upholding our commitment to safety, ethics, and excellence.
What You Will Do :
- Assist with mechanical work on fixed and rotating equipment, including internal combustion engines, natural gas-powered engines, and electrical drivers.
- Support the maintenance, installation, and repair of compressors, pumps, generators, turbines, valves, and electrical equipment.
- Gain knowledge on how to service and maintain structural and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Maintain and interpret various reports and records, such as work logs, service orders, inspection reports, maintenance records, pressure readings, and oil analysis reports.
- Learn how to respond to dangerous or hazardous conditions, ensuring safety and operational standards are maintained.
What We're Looking For :

Based on area of assignment interns provide field support in a variety of functional areas inclusive of : Pipeline Operations, Pipeline Integrity, Mechanical Integrity, Mechanical Maintenance; Measurement, Corrosion, Instrumentation, Plant Operations, Construction as well as other related disciplines.
With supportive guidance and mentoring Interns are provided the opportunity to engage to obtaining first-hand knowledge and experience.
Internships are designed to augment college learning by further educating students in teamwork, problem solving skills, work ethics, adaptability, communication, responsibility, time management, organization, perseverance and motivation as well as commercial awareness and business acumen.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Assist in a wide range of responsibilities inclusive of job shadowing, preparing reports, analyzing data, learning about various operational, technical, and / or business-related compliance, regulatory, and / or technical components.Assist with development of presentations, trainings, knowledge sharing, and / or other administrative responsibilitiesResponsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline.
