Job Profile Summary
To proactively monitor and/or control pipelines, plants, compressors, pressures, flows, tank levels, and alarms, recognizing and resolving issues by taking necessary action to handle both emergency and non-emergency situations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Operations, Commercial Services, Commercial Marketing and Engineering regarding information on the pipeline system(s)
- Maintain the integrity of the pipeline through remote control valve changes, instructing field personnel to make manual valve changes and starting and stopping compression or pumps as necessary
- Monitor Alarms and system telemetry status
- Build relationships both internally and externally by providing seamless communication
- Accurately record and relay information as necessary. Communication can be verbal and/or written
- Monitor Microsoft Excel system balance sheets
- Ensure that nominations are met and pipeline imbalances are minimized.
- Prepare and monitor daily and monthly reports
- Comply with all state and federal regulations
- Keep co-workers and gas control management aware of pipeline issues and activities
Education
- High School diploma or GED, required
Work Experience
- 3 years of industry experience – preferably in gas control or field operations

- Ability to work a rotating 12-hour day/night shift; (including weekends and holidays)
- Must work well in a team environment

- Valid driver’s license
- Must pass pre-employment background, which includes driving record, drug screen and is subject to random drug testing
- Must live within a reasonable distance of work location
- Must be able to visually monitor several computer screens in a control room environment for twelve (12) hour shifts. Must maintain a high level of mental alertness and be capable of quickly processing and reacting to incoming information from the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System. Response time is very critical.
