JOB SUMMARY
Job Profile Summary
Come join the exciting world of Damage Prevention! This position provides oversight and supervision of the Aerial Patrol Team. The Supervisor will manage and coordinate the Company's regulatory required visual inspection of the right of way through aerial patrols and methane leak detection surveys. Provide oversight and reporting regarding various Mitigation Plans and audits. Coordinate aerial patrol support for natural event response. Responsible for protecting the pipeline by remaining in compliance with the Company's ONEOK Management System, relevant regulatory requirements, and Company policies and procedures. This role follows a hybrid schedule, requiring in-office presence three days a week.
Assignments are received in the form of functional/departmental/regional objectives and goals. Consistently exercises independent judgment and applies knowledge/experience in area of expertise to determine the proper process by which to meet goals/objectives. Provides supervision to a group of employees who perform the exempt-level tasks and/or the same, or similar non-exempt level tasks. Administers direction within the latitude of established company policies. May be required to be actively involved with projects to meet schedules or project deadlines. Work is measured by the overall completion of objectives. Has the authority to hire, terminate, discipline, or recommend changes within the work group. Work is typically of diverse scope where analysis of a situation or data requires an evaluation of a variety of factors to establish a course of action. May recommend modifications or improvements to operating policies/procedures. Erroneous judgments/recommendations/decisions or failure to achieve results typically result in serious delays to schedules and may result in considerable expenditures of time, human resources, and funds to rectify.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Per DOT Part 192 and DOT Part 195, coordinate and ensure aerial patrol is completed and contracts are in place for inspection of surface conditions on or adjacent to company pipeline rights-of-way. Ensure one-call tickets/work orders are issued for new observations reported. Ensure appropriate qualifications of pilots. Ensure review of submitted ROW inspection reports for accuracy and completeness
  • First-line supervisory responsibility over damage prevention specialists.
  • Responsible for employee performance evaluations, establishing goals, developing employees, encouraging and motivating employees, counseling, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Mitigation Plan Coordination and Reporting.
  • Communicate with various stakeholders and SMEs to determine activities are completed to ensure compliance.
  • Designated liaison with internal audit with regard to Aerial Patrol Program to ensure that all compliance requirements are met.
  • Administer the Aerial Patrol Program for jurisdictional company pipeline assets for compliance with DOT Part 192, DOT Part 195 and the System Integrity Plan.
  • Annually review OMS procedures in Element 7 applicable to aerial patrol of pipeline right of way as assigned by the Element owner. Ensure procedures are reviewed for accuracy, applicability and compliance with industry regulations. Coordinate reviews and incorporate feedback from appropriate stakeholders. Submit modified procedures to the appropriate Element Owner or OMS coordinator for implementation and communication to the company’s organization.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree
Work Experience
  • 5 years related work experience Damage Prevention, Operations, Asset Integrity or similar is preferred.
