Job Description:
The Credentialing Supervisor will report to OneOncology’s Credentialing Manager and is responsible for supervising and leading the day-to-day activity and workflow of assigned credentialing team members and partner practices. The Supervisor is responsible for oversight of credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging processes for health care providers while complying with state and federal standards. Maintaining up-to-date data in credentialing databases, electronic systems and hard copy files as well as tracking and managing provider licenses, certifications, etc.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of credentialing specialists to ensure timely and accurate processing of credentialing applications and payer enrollments.
- Directly performing enrollment, credentialing, and license application/renewal functions as needed.
- Support enterprise in technology to advance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of credentialing function(s).
- Assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures related to the credentialing and enrollment processes, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Facilitate or co-facilitate any process improvement events.
- Assist manager in hiring and other various projects and departmental issues as needed.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Key Competencies
- Experience working with NCQA criteria and 3rd party payer regulations.
- Experience with completing hospital credentialing applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Participated in implementation of credentialing software tools.
- Recent or current hands-on experience in credentialing activities.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects at the same time.
- Data aggregation and analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 2 years Supervisory experience required, preferably in a credentialing/enrollment environment.
- 5 years Credentialing/Enrollment experience required.
- Experience working in credentialing software systems.
- Training experience preferred but not required.
- CPCS/CPMSM Certification preferred but not required.
- Working remote with travel flexibility as needed.
