Job Description:
The Manager, RCM is responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day operations for their designated RCM practice pod(s). Duties include oversight of RCM functions including personnel oversight billing guidance, and/or AR management.
Essential Functions:
Scope of responsibilities could include insurance eligibility, drug and lab authorization, financial assistance, charge entry, cash applications, collections and accounts receivable management leading team and filling gaps as needed.
Resolves team/supervisor revenue cycle issues and questions
Responsible for quality work, meeting KPIs, and adherence to the Practices Standard Operating Procedures
Guides individuals and teams toward priorities; coordinates resources to meet objectives.
Champions new initiatives: acts as a catalyst of change and stimulates others to change; paves the way for needed changes; manages implementation effectively.
Monitor key KPI metrics. Perform gap analysis and report to leadership noting outliers.
Prepare payroll records and maintain employee attendance/audits for HR payroll processing.
Manage employee activity such as hiring, job performance, evaluations, and disciplinary actions with appropriate approvals as required.
Essential Competencies:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and establish collaborative relationships with physicians, patients, clinical and administrative staff, and the public.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to process patient and public inquiries, including complaints, and respond with poise and efficiency.
Knowledge of clinic office procedures, prior authorizations, and medical coding.
In depth understanding of Managed Care Organizations and payer guidelines.
Basic understanding of oncology practice management is required for this position, specifically in-depth understanding of Oncology billing is required.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
High level of discretion to work with confidential information.
Proficient in the use of end-user computer applications regarding productivity (MS Word, Excel, Outlook), database and patient scheduling and other medical information systems.
Education & Experience:
Minimum of five years’ experience in healthcare setting; Oncology/Hematology preferred.
Minimum of three years management experience in healthcare field.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent healthcare-related experience required.
Experience with Centricity, Unlimited Systems a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Must be willing and able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Must be willing and able to travel to satellite clinics when necessary.
Salary Range: 76-134K
