Job Description:
The RCM Coordinator is an exciting new role that will assist in triaging practice RCM issues and RCM projects. This position will provide OneOncology practices with a dedicated resource to communicate with onsite and offshore RCM teams. This role will be a member of the Center of Excellence RCM team.
Responsibilities
Triage email communications between onsite team and OO RCM team.
Track all communication for trending issues to bring to team RCM meetings for feedback, additional training, etc.
Create Patient Cost Estimator with updated fee schedules each quarter.
Upload fee schedules into PM System quarterly.
Complete end of month close process monthly within the PM system.
Complete Transaction file reporting each month.
Assist with bad debt write off review and related projects.
Review refund requests and submit them for approval.
Monitor practice owned AR buckets and escalate to onsite team as needed.
Gain an understanding of RCM workflow and claim life cycle from Benefit Verification to Collections.
Maintain relationships with key stakeholders at our partner practices to better understand billing processes and system capabilities.
Work collaboratively with other members of RCM teams and leadership team.
Conduct AHCCCS Eligibility Verification as needed.
Obtain authorizations for restricted accounts as needed.
Other duties as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.
Qualifications
2 years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management
Understanding of physician practice operations
Experience utilizing EMR and Practice Management Systems
Ability to communicate to practice leadership regarding clinical or operational workflows that are related to Billing/AR issues for certain specialties, payers, etc.
Working knowledge of Billing, Collections, Government Payers, Managed Care Payers, Private, and Third-Party Insurances required
Ability to multi-task and oversee multiple projects at once
Knowledge of OncoEMR and Centricity/G4 a plus
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
