The Sr Director, RCM is responsible for oversight of end-to-end Revenue Cycle Management supporting OneOncology’s partner practices utilizing One Oncology’s Shared Services. This individual will provide development and ongoing support of revenue cycle management (RCM) strategy, manage RCM personnel including benchmarking, and optimize RCM outcomes. This role will be an operational expert for RCM and clinic workflows and must be able to communicate corporate and local priorities and strategies.

Job Description:
The Sr Director, RCM is responsible for oversight of end-to-end Revenue Cycle Management supporting OneOncology’s partner practices utilizing One Oncology’s Shared Services. This individual will provide development and ongoing support of revenue cycle management (RCM) strategy, manage RCM personnel including benchmarking, and optimize RCM outcomes. This role will be an operational expert for RCM and clinic workflows and must be able to communicate corporate and local priorities and strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the department by enacting change in development and implementation of revenue cycle strategies that are optimal and consistent with best practice processes in healthcare.
- Implement best practice workflows and monitor KPI’s to achieve optimal financial performance for the practice.
- Serve as a liaison and provide support and information to the practice during integration of tuck-in practices and/or vendor integrations.
- Assess and respond to current and future internal and external healthcare trends to establish and ensure the necessary changes for the revenue cycle activities.
- Maintain a collaborative and supportive relationship with management at the practices and encourage collaboration between the practice and OneOncology senior-level leaders.
- Directly participate in completion of various financial metrics, AR collectability and end of month report-outs to executive leaders.
- Identify process improvement opportunities by developing a firm understanding of workflows, best practices, and current bottlenecks.
- Effectively lead employees, reviewing benchmarks to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained, and driving results both directly and indirectly.
- Maintain knowledge of global payer issues and provide guidance on escalation and resolution.
- Ensure billing compliance in accordance with payer and CPT and coding guidelines.
- Work effectively with the Operations team to improve front office and clinical RCM-related operations.
- Oversee hiring, discipline, performance evaluation and other necessary aspects of team management.
- Other duties as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.
- 10 years in relevant healthcare operations with Senior Level RCM experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required with a master’s degree preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
- Complete understanding of physician-based end to end revenue cycle, preferably in oncology
- Must be detail oriented and organized
- Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends
- Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and create a culture of high performance and accountability
- Ability to operate in a high-growth environment
- Up to 50% of travel
