What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Director - Luxury Landscape Hotel position at Onera?
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Hotel site director to join our team in managing and growing a unique luxury landscape hotel nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, "Onera".
This is a hybrid leadership role. It will be a combination of hands-on and administrative tasks and management for a boutique, luxury landscape hotel — where agility, grit, and leadership converge. This person is both strategic and tactical, equally comfortable tracking GOP margins as they are scrubbing a hot tub.
*NOTE: ONSITE HOUSING IS INCLUDED IN COMPENSATION - EFFECTIVE ANNUAL COMPENSATION OF $95,000-$115,000 *
- On-call position that also provides flexible schedule.
Responsibilities:
1. Property Operations: Oversee day-to-day operations of the property, ensuring seamless functionality and a top-notch guest experience.
2. Guest Services: Implement and maintain high-quality guest services, ensuring that guests receive exceptional service throughout their stay.
3.Maintenance and Facilities: Ensure the maintenance manager and operations manager are sufficiently executing and tracking both preventative and acute maintenance.
4. Expense Tracking and Management: Track spend vs. budget and ensure overall operating expenses are kept in line. Report to the regional manager on opex, general operations, staffing, and other key ops verticals.
5. Staff Coordination and Quality Assurance: Ensure Onera staff and vendors complete all tasks assigned to them each day and that the quality of work completed is up to the standards of a luxury hotel.
6. Compliance: Follow and ensure vendor compliance with standard operating procedures: checklists, daily, weekly, and monthly quality assurance checks, compliance software, etc.
6. Guest Liaison: address guest issues and interact with them as-needed in a friendly and professional manner befitting a luxury hotel
7. Guest Experience Support: Assist in setting up in-room guest packages
Qualifications:
1. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel management, preferably in the luxury and/or outdoor hospitality industry.
2. Customer Focus: Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.
3. Management focus: Proven track record of managing a hospitality ops team (houskeeping, front desk, entire hotel, etc.).
4. Communication Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, staff, and vendors.
5. Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
6. Speak the language: Familiarity with key terms and acronyms, particularly as it relates to hotel financial reporting, is a requirement.
