What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at OneRail?
OneRail is seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Vice President / Controller, the ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in reconciling accounts and preparing financial statements, extensive experience with Microsoft Excel, proficiency with NetSuite, a good understanding of US GAAP, and be a CPA or CPA candidate. Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile various accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
- Analyze and report on monthly balance sheet and P&L activity.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to perform financial analysis and reporting.
- Maintain and update records in NetSuite.
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.
