OneSchool Global is seeking a dynamic and creative Student Support Assistant / Paraprofessional for our New York Campus (located in Airmont)! The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting students and have experience working with students who need additional support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide academic and behavioral support for a student with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- May be required to teach directed studies courses such as English and Math curricula as developed by a certified teacher.
- Collaborate with the local team to address the student's needs and support inclusive instruction.
- Maintain accurate records of the student's progress and activities.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in education, special education or Applied Behavioural Analysis preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and transferring.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting the student's educational and personal development.
