Position Summary
We are hiring Retail Door Security Guards to provide a strong visual presence at the entrances of major retail stores. Your primary responsibility will be to deter theft, monitor customer entry and exit, and maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers entering and exiting the store in a courteous and professional manner
- Monitor the front entrance for suspicious behavior, theft, or policy violations
- Deter shoplifting and maintain visible deterrence at all times
- Maintain a detailed log of shift activities and incidents
- Report emergencies or security concerns to store management and/or local authorities
- Follow all company protocols and retailer-specific security procedures
- Ensure compliance with company uniform and appearance standards
- Assist store employees in enforcing store rules if requested
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- NYS Security Guard Card
- Customer Service and Communication Skills
- Prior experience in security, loss prevention, or customer service is a plus
- Able to stand for extended periods
