AI- Powered Python Developer

OneSeven Tech (OST) is seeking an AI Powered Python Engineer to join our team. We are looking for someone who focuses on building and deploying full-scale applications while leveraging cutting-edge AI tools to maximize efficiency and code quality.

About You

You're a hands-on developer who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and navigating ambiguity. You have strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building production-grade systems. You're excited about the possibilities of AI but grounded in the practical realities of building reliable software. You excel at asking the hard questions to uncover true customer challenges and can translate complex requirements into intuitive solutions using simple, composable design patterns. While comfortable working independently, you know when to seek input from the team and how to drive clarity in uncertain situations.

Onboarding

Onboarding will be conducted by video call. We expect a quick onboarding process, enabling you to contribute to projects swiftly after starting. This position is for our Integrated Roles ( https://www.oneseventech.com/services/integrated-roles ) client, offering a contract-to-full-time opportunity. You'll be embedded within the client's team to deliver impactful solutions faster than traditional design processes allow.

Technical Requirements:

• Strong Python development experience with modern frameworks (FastAPI, Pydantic)
• Experience with LLM technologies (OpenAI, Anthropic, Llama, etc.) and LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex)
• Proven track record building RAG pipelines, text extraction solutions, and agentic systems
• Proficiency with vector databases (Pinecone, Pgvector, Chroma, etc.)
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of embedding models and semantic search
• Understanding of prompt engineering
• Experience with CI/CD and associated tooling (GitHub Actions)

Nice to have:

• Frontend/fullstack development experience (React)
• Experience building and running applications in AWS
• Knowledge of LLM evaluation metrics
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration
• Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools
• Background in healthcare or legal tech domains

What does your day to day look like in this position?

• Design and implement end-to-end AI solutions for enterprise clients, from rapid prototyping to production deployment
• Lead exploratory data analysis and extraction projects, finding creative ways to unlock value from structured and unstructured data
• Build robust RAG pipelines that combine multiple data sources and knowledge bases
• Experiment with different LLM models and approaches to optimize for accuracy, cost, and performance
• Drive technical discovery through rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept development
• Work directly with clients to understand their core challenges and design intuitive solutions
• Contribute to our internal knowledge base and engineering best practices

Benefits/Compensation:

• Fully Remote Position
• Contract-based employment with US company
• Starting at $4,000 - $5,000 depending on qualifications and experience
• No formal benefits packages available (health insurance, retirement plans)
• Fixed working hours 9am-5pm EST time, Monday-Friday
