The Role
OneSkin is seeking a seasoned social media leader to architect the organic brand presence across key social platforms. The ideal candidate will develop and execute a science-focused, premium positioning while collaborating with creative, brand marketing, and growth teams to maximize impact. Prioritizing customer awareness and engagement, the Senior Manager of Social Media is an integral part of the brand marketing team.
We are looking for someone who can establish goals, identify consumer segments, and build an effective content strategy to engage and grow our audience while ultimately increasing site traffic. The ideal candidate has prior experience in the luxury beauty, hospitality, or retailing industry, has an interest in learning about scientific topics, and has overseen multiple stages of audience growth.
Responsibilities
Digital Strategy:
- Collaborate with the Senior Director of Brand Marketing to craft social media messaging pillars that align with overall business objectives and brand themes
- Maintain a content calendar tied to product focus and cultural moments, prioritizing organic growth and engagement
- Stay ahead of trends and innovations to create platform-specific best practices that enhance brand performance
- Proficient in photography, video, and basic graphic design to create polished, visually compelling, on-brand social media content
- Copywriting skills for captions, scripts, and other relevant applications, with the ability to communicate advanced scientific topics at a consumer level of understanding
- Ability and willingness to work behind and in front of the camera, engaging authentically with the community when necessary
- Project management and briefing skills, to develop content in partnership with the marketing creative team
- Expertise in social media scheduling and management platforms (e.g., Dash Hudson, Sprout Social, or Sprinklr), with a clear point-of-view on optimizing posting schedules and performance
- Community management skills with a focus on fostering relationships, and an understanding of the strategies to drive brand affinity and resolve customer issues
- Interfacing with the Growth Marketing and Partnerships teams to facilitate cross-posting and strategic recommendations for influencer and paid media creative
- Set and manage ambitious, results-driven goals and KPIs for organic social, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives
- Competitive benchmarking and analyses of competing content strategies
- Weekly, quarterly, and campaign-specific social media reports, with actionable recommendations to optimize future content
- Social listening and the ability to surface customer insights for innovation in marketing and product development
- Minimum 5 years of social media marketing experience across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok & YouTube
- Previous management of a cross-platform organic social media audience of 100K or more
- Strong creative concepting, brand standards, and writing skills
- Outstanding cultural awareness and an ability to stay ahead of emerging trends and industry shifts
- Interest in scientific topics relating to skin, longevity, and product innovation
- Experience working in orchestrated, high-energy settings, such as live events
- Ability to think through the lens of our customer, brand voice and identity
- Capability to manage multiple projects at once, and embrace constructive feedback
